About Me
I am a retired Air Force, contractor, and NASA test pilot with 36+ years of test experience flying high performance jet fighter, trainer, transport, bomber, and business jets. I have advanced engineering degrees from MIT and Stanford University in Aeronautics and Astronautics, with emphasis on control theory, and the University of Washington in Applied Mathematics. I served as the Chief Engineer, Director for Flight Operations, and the Director for Safety and Mission Assurance at the NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center, and participated in several accident investigations. I have 30 years of adjunct professor experience teaching undergraduate and graduate level engineering courses in the aerospace field for the California State University system. I have also taught course in aircraft control theory and aircraft dynamics for the Air Force Test Pilot School. A detailed resume is available upon request.
